Edwards Air Engineering was founded in 1980. Owner Lloyd Edwards has over 20 years experience in the heating and air conditioning field. Starting from the ground up,servicing and installing steam and water boilers and complete hydronic systems. Lloyd attended Central Piedmont Community College and maintained a 4.0 GPA, subsequently he was awarded ASHRAE student of the year. Lloyd presently manage and or service over 200,000 tons of mechanical cooling equipment. From centrifugal chiller to window units, from heatpumps to process cooling systems. The company is bonded and holds a State Mechanical Contractors license H1,H2 & H3 Class 1,. State Electrical Contractors license SP-PH., Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification, Motor vehicle air conditioning Technician certificate and is a Authorized Gas Contractor with Piedmont Natural Gas Company. Lloyd has attend many workshops held by North Carolina State University,Trane ,Carrier and Evcon -Coleman on Energy Efficient HVAC design and Indoor Air Quality. Lloyd works with his son Dason and brother Francis. Edwards Air Engineering is dedicated to providing the very best service at the lowest possible cost.

Lloyd is currently serving as a evening HVAC instructor at  OMITT trade School. Charotte NC. OMITT, ("Onsite-Offsite Maintenance,Industrial & Technical Training") provides hands-on training programs where students select a learning module for the basic skills of electrical installation/maintenance, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, automotive repair/maintenance and small engine repair. All students learn four-function math,  blueprint reading, and the use of basic hand tools, machine shop tools,  mechanical fasteners, and precision measurement instruments. OMITT, partners with Goodwill Industries,Habitat for Humanity,Charlotte Area Fund, Charlotte-Mecklenburg sherffs Department and many other state and local agencies to provide certified training programs.
